Baseball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Gaston's Winning Streak

After flying high against Salem Academy last Thursday, Gaston came back down to earth. The Greyhounds fell 8-3 to the Westside Christian Eagles on Saturday. The contest marked the Greyhounds' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Zach Bozich made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Bozich is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Aiden Sheets was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Gaston moved to 3-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Westside Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

While Gaston had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
