Basketball Game Preview: Reading Rangers vs. Colon Magi

The Reading Rangers will head out on the road to take on the Colon Magi at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Reading didn't have quite enough to beat Stockbridge and fell 37-34. The Rangers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite their defeat, Reading saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Aubree Ervans, who posted nine points and seven boards, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Jenna Londeau, who scored seven points.

Meanwhile, Colon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 35-34 heartbreaker at the hands of Burr Oak.

Reading's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Colon, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.

Reading suffered a grim 58-33 defeat to Colon in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Reading was down 37-16.
