Baseball Game Preview: East Webster Wolverines vs. Eupora Eagles

East Webster has gone 8-2 against Eupora recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Wolverines will be playing at home against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

East Webster's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over French Camp Academy. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

East Webster got a massive performance out of Kage McHann, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Those three stolen bases gave McHann a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Huntet Stewart, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

East Webster always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .710. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as French Camp Academy only posted an OBP of .200.

Meanwhile, Eupora hadn't done well against South Pontotoc recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 11-1 victory.

Eupora's win bumped their record up to 17-10. As for East Webster, their victory bumped their record up to 18-6.

Everything went East Webster's way against Eupora in their previous meeting back in February of 2025, as East Webster made off with a 9-3 win. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
