Basketball Recap: Fort Atkinson Triumphs

Fort Atkinson's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Wilmot Panthers 51-48. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Blackhawks also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.

Fort Atkinson's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Wilmot, they are on a 24-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Atkinson will welcome Waunakee at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Waunakee knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Fort Atkinson likes a good challenge. As for Wilmot, they will host Westosha Central at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
