Softball Recap: Wenatchee Comes Up Short

Moses Lake hit Wenatchee with a four-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers fell just short of the Mavericks by a score of 9-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-0 on Thursday.

Sierra Cook made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Wenatchee and nudges their season record down to 7-7. As for Moses Lake, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Wenatchee will challenge Eisenhower at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cadets will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Moses Lake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cheney at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
