Basketball Recap: Jonah Kuhlman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Oakley over Trego

Oakley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 55-45 to the Trego Golden Eagles. If the Plainsmen were looking for revenge after losing 54-37 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Oakley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jonah Kuhlman, who posted 12 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Mason Jackson, who had seven points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

Oakley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Trego, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Oakley has already played their next game, a 48-36 win against Smith Center on the 18th. As for Trego, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-55 victory against Phillipsburg on the 20th.
