St. Peter entered their tilt with Mankato West on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Mankato West Scarlets by a score of 64-52. Given the Saints' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Scarlets are ranked 139th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

St. Peter's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Mankato West, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

St. Peter and Jackson County Central will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Peter knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Jackson County Central likes a good challenge. As for Mankato West, they will be home for the holidays to greet Northfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
