Football Recap: Shroder Paideia Academy Comes Up Short

Shroder Paideia Academy extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-4. They came up short against the Washington Blue Lions, falling 34-14. The match marked the Jaguars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

As for Washington, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.7 points over those games.

Washington's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sam Pfeifer led the charge by throwing for 241 yards and three touchdowns. Pfeifer has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Andrew Young helped Pfeifer out on the ground, rushing for 45 yards and a pair of scores, while also picking up 42 receiving yards.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shroder Paideia Academy will challenge Lockland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Washington, they will take on McClain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Blue Lions' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
