Volleyball Recap: Centennial's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Centennial lost against Martin back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Spartans fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2. While the Spartans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 25-21 in the first set.

Centennial took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-19, 20-25, 25-23, 15-12.

Lauren Seeton paced Centennial's offense, picking up 25 kills. Seeton got some help from Channing Ward and her 23 assists.

Centennial's loss ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 31-13. As for Martin, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 21 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 22-17 record this season.

Centennial and Martin are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Spartans will welcome Arlington Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Martin, they will square off against Richardson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
