Basketball Game Preview: Boyertown Bears vs. Spring-Ford Rams

Boyertown is 2-8 against Spring-Ford since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Boyertown Bears will square off against the Spring-Ford Rams at 6:45 p.m.

Boyertown is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Pope John Paul II, falling 63-37. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 555th, while Pope John Paul II are ranked 116th).

Meanwhile, Spring-Ford entered their tilt with Methacton on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the Warriors 65-51.

Spring-Ford pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Boyertown, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.

Boyertown suffered a grim 55-31 defeat to Spring-Ford when the teams last played on January 2nd. Can Boyertown avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
