Baseball Recap: North Port Comes Up Short

North Port and Venice squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but North Port had to settle for second. They came up short against the Indians, falling 9-0. The loss continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost eight in a row.

North Port's defeat dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Venice, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season.

North Port does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Venice, they have already played their next contest, a 12-2 win against Sarasota on the 17th.
