Softball Recap: Seneca Takes a Loss

Seneca was the 11-8 winner over De Soto when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 8-7 on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Indians have lost by just one run.

Seneca is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8. As for De Soto, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seneca will head out to face off against Wauzeka-Steuben at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Indians' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for De Soto, they will head out on the road to square off against North Crawford at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.26 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of.
