Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is ALA - West Foothills' Tenth in Last 11 Outings

ALA - West Foothills extended their road winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Izabella Juarez. The ALA - West Foothills Guardians simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Tonopah Valley Phoenix 84-14 thanks in part to Juarez, who dropped a triple-double on 34 points, 11 rebounds, and 19 steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of ALA - West Foothills' points.

Sarah Roberts was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Tonopah Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Talia Fox, who posted eight points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Fox a new career-high in rebounds. Raeanna Battle also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

ALA - West Foothills is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-7 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 39.4 points. As for Tonopah Valley, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-17.

ALA - West Foothills didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 81-31 win against Chino Valley on the 4th. Tonopah Valley has also already played their next game, a 105-11 loss against Yuma Catholic on the 4th.
