Soccer Game Preview: Milton vs. Walton

The Milton Eagles will square off against the Walton Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Milton will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Milton played against Gainesville last Thursday and won via forfeit.

Walton took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed two weeks ago. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Raiders who were credited with the victory. Walton got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Marist's three. Given Walton's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Marist are ranked 36th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Walton's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four matchups. As for Milton, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.
