It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Newport can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Redmond Mustangs on Saturday.

Newport's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Redmond, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Newport didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna on the 4th. As for Redmond, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Skyline on the 1st.
