Basketball Recap: Chase Olgine Key Part of Team Effort in Golden Hawks Win + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Holly Springs, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Overhills Jaguars by a score of 61-54 on Wednesday.

Holly Springs got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chase Olgine out in front who went 6-for-13 to rack up 17 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcos Astacio Vasquez, who posted ten points.

Holly Springs was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Overhills only racked up eight.

Overhills lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Noah Newkirk, who had eight points. Zachiah Chalmers was another key player, putting up nine points.

Holly Springs' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Overhills, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Holly Springs will take on Apex Friendship at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Hawks will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
