Volleyball Recap: Ascend Leadership Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Ascend Leadership unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Freedom Christian Academy Patriots on Monday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-15, 15-25, 25-21.

Freedom Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season.

Ascend Leadership has already played their next contest (against Hoke County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Freedom Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on March 24th against Ascend Leadership at 4:00 p.m.
