Volleyball Recap: Providence Classical Christian Has No Trouble Against Academe of the Oaks

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Victory Baptist, Providence Classical Christian was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Academe of the Oaks Firebirds 3-0. The contest marked the Warriors' most dominant win of the season so far.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Providence Classical Christian was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-13, 25-6.

Providence Classical Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caroline Harris out in front who had nine aces. Those nine aces gave Harris a new career-high. Tori Lingerfelt was another key player, getting five aces and four digs.

The win got Providence Classical Christian back to even at 3-3. As for Academe of the Oaks, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Coming up, Providence Classical Christian will host Trinity Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. After both having extra time off, Academe of the Oaks and Howard will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
