The Hudson Hawks will face off against the Marlborough Panthers at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Hudson will be strutting in after a victory while Marlborough will be coming in after a loss.
Hudson is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Fitchburg a 15-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Blue Raiders recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Anthony Moura made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Hudson is 7-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-7 otherwise. Moura was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Hudson got a massive performance out of Logan Dome, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave Dome a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caelen O'Brien, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Hudson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Marlborough was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Nashoba Regional. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by just one run.
Hudson's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Marlborough, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.
Hudson came out on top in a nail-biter against Marlborough in their previous matchup on May 7th, sneaking past 4-3. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
