Basketball Game Preview: West Limestone Wildcats vs. St. John Paul II Falcons

The West Limestone Wildcats will face off against the St. John Paul II Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, West Limestone came up short against West Morgan and fell 68-58. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 268th, while the Rebels are ranked 121st).

Meanwhile, St. John Paul II was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 55-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Westminster Christian Academy.

West Limestone has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for St. John Paul II, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

West Limestone came up short against St. John Paul II in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 67-56. Can West Limestone avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
