Basketball Recap: Meigs County Takes a Loss

Meigs County lost against McMinn Central back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Meigs County Tigers took a 63-49 bruising from the McMinn Central Chargers. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meigs County's loss dropped their record down to 8-22. As for McMinn Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-15 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meigs County will head out to take on Tyner Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tyner Academy will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Meigs County surely won't give up without a fight. As for McMinn Central, they are taking a road trip to face off against Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences on Saturday. One thing working in McMinn Central's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matchups.
