De Soto won the last time they faced Seneca and things went their way on Thursday too. The De Soto Pirates blew past the Seneca Indians 60-38. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 21 points or more this season.

De Soto's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sylvia Krueger, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. Krueger has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 16 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ella Koch, who went 5-for-10 on her way to 15 points along with five rebounds and five steals.

De Soto smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in eight consecutive contests.

De Soto's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Seneca, they dropped their record down to 3-16 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

De Soto does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seneca, they will welcome Necedah at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
