Volleyball Recap: Mica Mountain Has No Trouble Against St. Mary's

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mica Mountain had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the St. Mary's Knights. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Thunderbolts.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-10, 25-17.

Samuel Widmer was the offensive standout of the match as he had 13 digs and three assists. He has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times he's played.

Mica Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 26-9. As for St. Mary's, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-14.

Looking ahead, Mica Mountain will venture away from home to take on Prescott at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Badgers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Thunderbolts surely won't give up without a fight. St. Mary's does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
