Volleyball Recap: Jackson Takes a Loss

Jackson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fairfield Union Falcons. The Ironman/Ironladies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2020.

While Jackson had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 13-25, 25-21.

When it comes to explaining why Jackson lost, don't look at Kaylin Sheppard. Despite the final result, she had 42 digs and one assist. Sheppard is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last ten games she's played.

Jackson's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Fairfield Union, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-16.

Jackson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fairfield Union, they will take on Circleville in a tournament on Thursday.
