Basketball Game Preview: Southwest Patriots vs. Harlem Bulldogs

The Southwest Patriots will face off against the Harlem Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Southwest has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 212 points over their last three games.

Southwest easily dispatched Howard on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Patriots fell just short of Peachtree Ridge by a score of 65-63 on Wednesday. The loss put an end to the Patriots' undefeated start to the season.

Harlem kicked off their season on the road two weeks ago and hit a couple of potholes. They took a hard 67-48 fall against Houston County. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Southwest will need to focus on slowing down Justin Beckham, one of several Harlem players who made an impact when they last played. He shot 67% from the field on his way to 15 points and five boards. AJ Williams was another key player, putting up 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Southwest fell to 2-1. As for Harlem, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
