After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Clair County, Jacksonville was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Ranburne Bulldogs by a score of 8-3. That's more bragging rights for the Golden Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Dailyn Wood, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Lacey Barnes, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Jacksonville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ranburne only posted a batting average of .267.

Jacksonville's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Ranburne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.

Jacksonville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 5-2 win against Cleburne County on the 11th. As for Ranburne, they will be playing at home against Weaver at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
