Pacific Grove's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They skirted past the Monterey Dores 6-5. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Breakers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Georgio Rosa looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, River Lyon was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Issac Sanchez, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Pacific Grove's record is now 2-3. As for Monterey, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Coming up, Pacific Grove will challenge Palma at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Palma's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Pacific Grove's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Monterey, they will square off against Santa Teresa at 1:00 p.m. on March 22nd.
