Football Recap: Clark Extends Winning Streak to Three

Clark won the last time they faced Amplus Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. Everything went the Clark Chargers' way against the Amplus Academy Archers as the Clark Chargers made off with a 26-6 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Chargers just coasted through the last quarter.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clark to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Reed, who rushed for 101 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries. That's the most rushing yards Reed has posted since back in December of 2024. Backing up that air attack was Tianna Griffith, who rushed for 80 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Reed was just one part of a punishing run game: Clark was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 208 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

The victory was the third in a row for Clark, bringing their record for this year to 8-15. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.3 points per game. As for Amplus Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Clark will head out to challenge Coronado at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Amplus Academy, they will face off against Arbor View at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
