Football Game Preview: North Pointe Prep vs. Antelope

After two weeks on the road, North Pointe Prep is heading back home. On Friday they will take on Antelope at 7:00 PM. Antelope will need to watch out since North Pointe Prep have now posted big point totals in their last eight contests.

North Pointe Prep might be getting used to good results now that the squad has five wins in a row. They took the game and then some with a 56-14 win over Red Rock last Friday. No one put up better numbers for North Pointe Prep than senior Joe Soriano-Garfias, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 258 yards and 4 touchdowns. Soriano-Garfias has now scored at least one touchdown in the past eight games.

Meanwhile, Antelope put the finishing touches on their 7th blowout victory of the season. They were the clear victor by a 34-7 margin over Scottsdale Preparatory Academy. The rankings were on Antelope's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result.

Their wins bumped Antelope to 7-2 and North Pointe Prep to 7-1. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
