Volleyball Game Preview: Wilcox Chargers vs. Fremont Firebirds

The Wilcox Chargers will head out on the road to take on the Fremont Firebirds at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Wilcox is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, Wilcox came up short against Los Altos and fell 3-1.

While Wilcox ultimately came up short, they really made Los Altos work, particularly in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-15, 19-25, 25-21, 28-26.

Meanwhile, Fremont unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of Gunn by a score of 3-2.

Fremont took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 22-25, 22-25, 25-14, 15-9.

Fremont's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Wilcox, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.

Wilcox was able to grind out a solid win over Fremont in their previous meeting on April 9th, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
