Softball Recap: White Hall Extends Winning Streak to Seven

White Hall won the last time they faced Searcy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bulldogs' pitcher stepped up to hand the Lions a 5-0 shutout. The win was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Maycey Langston was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Madison Bates also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

White Hall hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in seven consecutive matches.

White Hall pushed their record up to 18-8-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Searcy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7.

Coming up, White Hall will head out to square off against Pine Bluff at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Searcy, they will be playing at home against Greene County Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
