Basketball Recap: Wright City Lumberjax vs. Rattan Rams
It was a good run, but the Wright City Lumberjax unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 57-49 to Rattan. Wright City has not had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the loss, Wright City still got an impressive performance from Conner Green, who scored 26 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Green has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Vance, who scored seven points along with three blocks.
Wright City's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-4. As for Rattan, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wright City will square off against the Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Oklahoma (Valliant is ranked 77th, while the Lumberjax are ranked 90th). As for Rattan, they will head out on the road to face off against the Rebels at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
