Baseball Recap: Garber Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

All Saints Central typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Garber proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Cougars. The result was nothing new for the Dukes, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Nathan Foret made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Foret was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ryan Brey, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Charlie Maze was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Garber's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-8-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for All Saints Central, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garber will challenge Birch Run at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for All Saints Central, they will square off against Central at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
