Basketball Game Preview: Eagle's View Warriors vs. Stanton Blue Devils

The Eagle's View Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Stanton Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Eagle's View has four straight wins, Stanton has 11 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Eagle's View is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against First Coast Christian on Friday as Eagle's View made off with an 89-64 victory. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Stanton ended up a good deal behind KIPP Bold City on Wednesday and lost 59-41. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 726th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 303rd).

Eagle's View has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.1 points per game. As for Stanton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.

Eagle's View took their win against Stanton in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 62-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eagle's View since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
