Softball Recap: Sahuaro Cougars vs. Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks
Sahuaro extended their losing streak to nine on Thursday, dropping them down to 2-15. They came up short against the Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks, falling 23-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Nighthawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-6 on Tuesday.
As for Ironwood Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.
For Ironwood Ridge's part, Hayden Bores made a splash while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched.
