Volleyball Game Preview: Taylorsville Warriors vs. Kearns Cougars

Taylorsville hasn't had much luck against Kearns recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Taylorsville didn't have quite enough to beat Cyprus and fell 3-2. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Pirates 25-20 in the first set.

Taylorsville took Cyprus into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-19, 25-23, 21-25, 15-9.

Meanwhile, Kearns came up short against Hillcrest on Thursday and fell 3-1.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Hillcrest scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-17, 25-27, 25-18.

Taylorsville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Kearns, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.

Taylorsville couldn't quite get it done against Kearns when the teams last played back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
