Volleyball Recap: Holtville Comes Up Short

Holtville lost against Coronado back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Vikings took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Islanders.

Kadence Toten paced Holtville's offense, picking up three kills. Toten were helped by Joslynn Knight and Annika Strahm, who contributed three assists each. Isabel Garcia and Ava Dhalliwal kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Holtville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Coronado, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

Holtville has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against La Costa Canyon on the 30th. As for Coronado, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Saint Joseph on the 30th.
