Baseball Recap: Severance Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Severance entered their tilt with Mountain View on Monday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Mountain Lions an 11-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-3 on Saturday.

Hayden Crank tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Brady Iversen was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Dom Torres was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Severance was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They are a perfect 12-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Severance's record is now 15-5. As for Mountain View, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.
