Basketball Recap: Mt. Clemens Wins Going Away Against Pontiac Academy for Excellence

Mt. Clemens posted their biggest win since January 23, 2024 on Friday. They put the hurt on the Pontiac Academy for Excellence Eagles with a sharp 53-31 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Battling Bathers also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Mt. Clemens' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for Pontiac Academy for Excellence, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Clemens will face off against University Prep Science & Math at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. As for Pontiac Academy for Excellence, they will square off against Detroit Leadership Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
