The Van Horn Eagles won the last time they faced the Fort Hancock Mustangs, and things went their way on Saturday too. Van Horn took down Fort Hancock 44-28. The win made it back-to-back wins for Van Horn.
Among those leading the charge was Isayell Flores, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Van Horn's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Orlando Zamora, who scored 10 points.
Van Horn now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Fort Hancock, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Van Horn will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Rankin at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. As for Fort Hancock, they will be playing at home against Alpine at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alpine presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fort Hancock in Texas (Alpine is ranked 259th, while Fort Hancock is ranked 802nd).
