Archbishop Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 56-46 to the Friendship Collegiate Academy Knights. One positive for the Lions, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Friendship Collegiate Academy found their leader in sophomore Jonae McKnight, who went 8 for 11 on her way to 22 points and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McKnight has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Miyazia Harris, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 13 points and three steals.

Archbishop Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Friendship Collegiate Academy, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Archbishop Carroll will venture away from home to square off against James Madison at 11:20 a.m. on Monday. Archbishop Carroll is facing James Madison at the right time seeing as James Madison is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Friendship Collegiate Academy, they will head out to face off against Thurgood Marshall Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
