Soccer Recap: Mountain View Takes a Loss

Mountain View managed to keep up with Mesa until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Mountain View Toros lost 3-0 to the Mesa Jackrabbits. While losing is never fun, the Toros can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Jackrabbits are ranked fourth).

This is the second loss in a row for Mountain View and nudges their season record down to 10-5. As for Mesa, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Mountain View didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Washington on the 12th. As for Mesa, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Kofa on the 12th.
