Basketball Recap: Northeast Comes Up Short

Northeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Clarksville Academy Cougars, falling 60-35. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 368th, while the Cougars are ranked 154th).

Despite the loss, Northeast still got an impressive performance from Jo Sia Harris, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 10 points along with seven boards and three steals. Jaelin Killens also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Even though they lost, Northeast smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in nine consecutive matchups.
