Softball Recap: Danville Takes a Loss

Warrior Run hit Danville with a four-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Ironmen lost 10-4 to the Defenders.

Brynn Wilson and Breece Wilson did some serious damage despite the final result: Brynn went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double, while Breece went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Morgan Gerringer was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run.

Danville has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Warrior Run, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-8.

As of now, neither Danville nor the Defenders have any future games scheduled.
