Softball Recap: Lubbock Comes Up Short

Lubbock fell victim to Lubbock-Cooper and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 19-0 to the Pirates. The Westerners haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Lubbock's loss dropped their record down to 10-9-1. As for Lubbock-Cooper, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 21-4.

Looking ahead, Lubbock will challenge Amarillo at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Westerners' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sandies have averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season. As for Lubbock-Cooper, they will host Caprock at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
