After a string of five wins, Sam Houston's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the University Lab Cubs. The Broncos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cubs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2016.

Sam Houston's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for University Lab, their victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-0.

Sam Houston has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Northside Christian on the 29th. As for University Lab, they will challenge St. Michael at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
