Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jaylin Boss and Allie Wieding Lead Karnes City to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Yorktown, Karnes City was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They took down the Pearsall Mavericks 43-25. For the Badgers, this counts as revenge for the 35-25 victory the Mavericks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Karnes City was led to victory by Allie Wieding and Jaylin Boss. Wieding almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards, while Boss almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards. Those ten points gave Boss a new career-high. Arianna Torres was another key player, putting up four points and three steals.

Karnes City's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Pearsall, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Karnes City will venture away from home to square off against John F. Kennedy at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Karnes City is facing John F. Kennedy at the right time seeing as John F. Kennedy is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Pearsall, they will welcome Floresville at 6:15 p.m. on December 17th.
