North Forsyth lost against McMichael last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Vikings took a hard 74-57 fall against the Phoenix. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (56), the Vikings still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why North Forsyth lost, don't look at Quaezhar Goldsmith. Despite the final result, he shot 75% from the field to rack up 19 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Thomas, who posted ten points and six boards.

JJ Tatum was nothing short of spectacular for McMichael: he went 9-for-16 on his way to 26 points and six assists. That's the most points Tatum has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jakeis Vernon, who put up 13 points along with six rebounds and five steals.

North Forsyth dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for McMichael, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

North Forsyth didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-41 defeat against Reagan on the 25th. As for McMichael, after both having extra time off, they and South Stokes will shake off the rust and duke it out at 8:15 p.m. on the 2nd.
