Basketball Game Preview: Pueblo Central Wildcats vs. Mitchell Marauders + How To Watch

Pueblo Central is on a three-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Mitchell a four-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Pueblo Central Wildcats will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Mitchell Marauders at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Pueblo Central is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They took a 41-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sand Creek last Monday.

Loss or not, Pueblo Central got some senior leadership from Alliana Martinez and Violet Obley. Martinez posted 14 points in addition to five boards and five steals, while Obley earned ten points and five steals.

Meanwhile, Mitchell scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Pueblo South by a score of 36-33.

Pueblo Central strolled past Mitchell in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 42-24. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Marauders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
