Volleyball Recap: Raegan Jimenez and Jersee Fabrizius Secure Win for Ellis

Ellis lost to Stockton back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Railroaders narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Tigers 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Railroaders.

Ellis had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-22, 26-24.

Leading Ellis to victory were Jersee Fabrizius and Raegan Jimenez. Fabrizius had five digs and three aces, while Jimenez had five aces. Those five aces gave Jimenez a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Ellis was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Ellis' record is now 8-13. As for Stockton, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15-1.

Ellis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Wallace County on the 4th. As for Stockton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Quinter on the 4th.
